Free One-day Training for Students in the use of Linux Laptop Computers.   As a special offer, ELCOT wishes to offer an one day free training in the use of Linux Laptop Computers to all those who have procured Laptop Computers under the Student Laptop Scheme-2008. ELCOT has a 300 seater training centre at Nandanam in Chennai. ELCOT has also 25-50 seater training facility in each and every District Collectorate. The one day free training will be scheduled from 13th December 2008 on Saturdays and Sundays only. During the one day free training programme, ELCOT would provide a comprehensive orientation on the use of Linux Note Book Computers. This training is offered to the buyers who continue to retain the Suse Linux Enterprise Edition Desktop Operating System in the Laptop. The participants are requested to bring their own Laptop Computers. ELCOT would provide Mineral Water , Coffee / Tea & Lunch during the training period at its expense. Last date to register for Free Training - 05/12/2008 Reporting at the venue - 09.00 am Commencement of Training - 10.00 am Lunch - 1.00 pm to 2.00 pm Post Lunch session - 2.00 pm to 5.45 pm   Strict discipline should be maintained during the training session. The Training facility is not interchangeable. Only the persons in whose name the Laptop had been procured will be allowed to take part in the training. If the student is too young to attend the session, his/her parent may attend the Training. Please use the online registration facility to reserve your training slot. The training is available subject to availability of seats and only those who have registered and reserved their seats online will be allowed to take part in the Training.
